COPERATION BETWEEN RAMKHAMHAENG AND INDIANA UNIVERSITIES

Ramkhamhaeng University is in the final stage of bringing North American Optometry to Thailand. The mniversity has developed a partnership with the Indiana School of Optometry. 3,500 sq. metres of space at the University has been remodelled for teaching laboratories and teaching clinics under the guidance of the Indiana School of Optometry. There are 30 examination rooms and all the supporting space for faculty, reception rooms, optical dispensary and records.

Teaching equipment and teaching aids along with reference material and an email facility will enable the staff and students in Thailand to get immediate up-to-date state of the art information. The curriculum designed with Indiana’s help, will initially be supported by lecturers and clinical supervision from Indiana. The first class of students is projected to graduate in 2005.
