Faculty of Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering was founded in 1997. The temporary offices are located in the AD 3 Building.
The main objective of the Faculty is to provide quality educational programs to fill the need of the private
sector and the government agency for manpower in the area of Engineering.
At present, the Faculty offers
only courses at the undergraduate level for students working towards a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
The Faculty of Engineering is composed of three academic departments and a Secretariat Office.
The academic departments are :

The university admits only a limited number of applicants to the Bachelor of Engineering degree.
The applicants must sit for an ability aptitude test and an interview on the dates specified by the university.
The ability aptitude test is composed of Science Test, Mathematic Test, and English Test. All applicants
passing the test must report to the university, pay the necessary fees and present the necessary
documents.
Students are required to spend at least four academic years and not more than eight academic years to
complete the Engineering program, otherwise they will be dismissed. They may reapply for admission.
The maximum course load a student is allowed to enroll for a regular semester is 22 credit hours and
9 credit hours for a summer session. The minimum load for a regular semester is 9 credit hours
In order to graduate, students for the Bachelor of Engineering degree are required to complete a total
of credit hours required by the program and must have a minimum grade point average of 2.00.
The Faculty of Engineering uses the following grading system to compute the grade point average.

Undergraduate Programs
of Study
At present, the Facuity of Engineering offers curricula leading to the
Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) in the following major fields :
Civil Engineering,
Engineering,
Environmental Engineering.
Undergraduate Degree Requirements
To receive a Bachelor's Degree from the Faculty of Engineering, a student must
complete
a minimum of 150 credit hours of course work : 47 credit hours of general
education ;
100 credit hours of required engineering courses ; and 3 credit hours of
free electives.
